We are healed…

December 1, 20112 Comments

“Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Pe 2:24)

I come from a lot of brokenness, and I see a lot of brokenness, unfortunately the people who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ still walk as broken people, not healed, and not redeemed. This is not a poke or prod at someone else, it takes one to know one, I know brokenness because I lived a whole lot of life without Jesus, ignorant to the promises, redemption and healing that’s found in Jesus.

Please be comforted, you’re not alone Jesus was broken so that you might be healed. This is the consolation for our soul; God in the flesh was broken, He took the stripes that we couldn’t, so that we could received the healing that we needed.

If you look back at the passage above, the healing that God is talking about has already been done for you and me. It’s not a matter of when will it happen, it’s a matter of when will we receive it. One of the lies that Satan loves to spread is that we’re worthless and broken without remedy. That is about the farthest from the truth, we are a holy nation, a royal priesthood, God’s own special people. We are healed! Just as sure as Jesus’ stripes are real, our healing is real. You’re not broken without remedy, Jesus has healed you.

Lets not succumb to the lie, we are healed! Began to appropriate this healing in your life by meditating on this passage. I know your thinking of a particular issue in your life and your saying, “I got proof I’m not healed look at this!” Jesus was broken for that very thing, so that you would be healed and able to live for righteousness.

I declare the truth of God’s word over you, that you are healed, you are whole, that Jesus’ brokenness is more than effective for your healing. You have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. I pray that the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened, that you may know the power of God towards those who believe. Amen

This is very refreshing. I have a friend that declared herself healed over an affection in her body. She is a strong woman of God, and I know this would be confirmation to her, I must tell her about your blog.

I am glad that you are letting God use you in this way; it will be life to many others as it is life to me.

You often say so many things that are just blessed reminders. Thank you and God bless you.

Amen! These days when certain thoughts of fear and doubt come up, I just remind myself that “I am not that person anymore.” We need to put off the old man daily and walk in healing in every area. Thanks for sharing.
