Do you believe all things are possible for you? Not for anyone else, but for you? Jesus spoke about this very thing, and guess what, He was not talking about a blind optimism, a vain self confidence, or a “believe in the universe and it will all workout attitude”. There is a reality of all things being possible for those that are with God. Read and find out how!
And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Salvation: You are with God
Jesus was speaking with his disciples about salvation, and He said, “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
The disciples thought that if it was hard for a rich person then who could go to heaven, or rather be saved. They wrongly thought that since the rich seem to have everything on earth, surely heaven would be there’s too, but Jesus corrects them and us on this topic.
Lets deal with this first. Have you considered the impossibility of salvation without God? There are three things that clearly teach us, that heaven is impossible without God. First, we were all dead in our trespasses and sins. Meaning that we shared the same spiritual death Adam and Eve suffered in the garden. We were alienated from the life of God, unable to get to Him, unless He made a way for us. Second, the wisdom that we have in this world doesn’t lead us to God, the natural life here on Earth has its own wisdom, teachings, surmisings and conclusions about life, and it’s one that does not “reason” itself to God, it reasons itself away from God and furthermore excludes God. Third, we are born in sin and shaped in iniquity and from birth we go astray. To be born in sin, means we are born missing God’s Holly Standard, “shaped in iniquity” iniquity is crookedness, meaning we were crooked from the beginning not straight, set on a path to be apart from Him. It’s clear, we would not be saved on our own. Salvation without God is unthinkable, and impossible! (Eph 2:5, Psa 51:5, 1 Cor 1:21)
Salvation: Keeping the Most Important, Important
In our current culture we gloss over salvation, because its been preached so much, but let’s remember salvation is impossible without God. No God, no salvation. With grateful hearts let’s thank Him for this salvation He worked for us through Jesus Christ. Lets joy over this never leave us. For those who want to know and experience this salvation it stands closer than you think, for salvation is always now. In saving us God moved sin and our sins as far away from us, as East is from West. However, remember before He did this we were running as far from Him as East is from West. Thank You Lord for the we have been Saved by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ, for we were lost but now we are found, once we were without God, but now we are “with God”. Salvation is our step to all possibilities!
God is All Possibility
Having been united with God, we have a highway of possibilities opened before us, we have impossibilities declared to be possible. Without Him, we don’t have this promise, because God is all possibility. It’s Him! Everything we see came from Him, He created it, anything else we expect to see will come from Him too. Lets understand what Jesus is saying, nothing is impossible with God. But why is that? Because God is infinite, limitless, all powerful and unending; it would be wrong to say about something that is infinite, that some things are possible, or a few things are possible, that would be ridiculous! It’s either He is limitless and everything is possible, or He’s not God! But we know that He is God, infinite, and unending, in all possibilities, and when we are saved we are united with Him, and “all things are possible with God!”
