Life Lived Better!

March 19, 20122 Comments

If there was a better life for you now would you choose it?  Twelve years ago, I would have been the first to admit, that while I didn’t want to die, life was just alright.  Really, I was just alright, not good by far, living with the question,”what is life?”  However, a lot has changed in twelve years.  Life lived better isn’t about 3 steps you do, it’s about a renovation in you, really it is!  It’s about a new reality for your existence.  My life hasn’t been the same, and yours can be different too, this life can be lived better!

Imagine you…

Without the inner tension of bitterness and hate.  Imagine you without the lingering pain from past hurts.  Imagine you experiencing a joy for living that goes past what you plan on getting.  Imagine a joy and peace that is so central to you, that you are more shocked when it’s not there.  Imagine you with a smile that reflects this joy and peace, instead of it just being a cover-up to the pain that’s deep inside.  Imagine yourself enjoying and being embraced by a real, true love.  Not the kind of love that you have to perform to get, the kind you can relax in.   Imagine yourself being guilt free and not having to bury yourself in alcohol or drugs to attempt to get it.   Imagine worry being like a cold, seasonal and short-lived!  Imagine you being free to fulfill your purpose without the burden worry brings.

Think about this…

You are going to live once, so what’s more important?  What you gain, or how you live and exist? Is what you see around you the “end all” to your world?  Is what’s happening in your neighborhood or with your friends and family the ceiling of potential for your life?  They say the fruit doesn’t roll that far from the tree, but you can get a whole new tree, just as you can turn over a new leaf.  This is a thought, can you even imagine any of what I mentioned above? If you can’t that speaks volumes. Do you think some are chosen to have joy, peace and love, like being born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and others are just left out?

Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts. 2 Pet 1:19 NLT

Realize this…

What you were asked to imagine can actually be seen in the life of Jesus that God wants us all to have.  Some people say “New life”, it is definitely that, and a new start for you.  It’s not “make-believe”, its real, Jesus really does cause people to live like that; deeply loved, joyous and at peace! God’s love really is that good, that deep, that rich, that fulfilling, that tangible.  It’s for you, it really is, and with this new life God wants for you, you really can live life better.

This is the Good News, Jesus died to provide this kind of life for you. This is the redeemed the life; the life that’s been freed by the Cross, the life that has peace with God, and absence of division within. The life that has been set free from sin’s reign, the life that has God’s love poured out in it, in the Spirit without measure. The life of Grace; God’s favor and God’s power! It doesn’t end either, it’s life more abundantly and life without an end!

There is more to this life and you were made for the more, not for the lesser!

My prayer for you is that you would hear the voice of God calling out to you, that you would feel His nudging at your heart. In Jesus’ name, I ask that the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ would shine in your heart, that you would be filled and overwhelmed with His love, that you would receive the gift of faith, that you would believe in Jesus and the power of God that was displayed in Jesus’ resurrection.  I ask that God would display the greatness of His power and love to you, that as you respond to Him, you’d know He’s already waiting there for you.

If you have come into agreement with this prayer and feel the desire to know the One I prayed to, just say amen! Also feel free to contact me or leave a comment.

God’s love and peace to you!
